A very high quality speaker cable comprising two colour coded foam polymer insulated cores, sheathed overall in durable pearlescent silver/grey PVC. Each core is made up of 180 0.12mm diameter copper strands plated with 40µin silver. The conductors are twisted together to lower the inductance with each other. This cable recognizes the phenomenon of skin effect by using individually silver plated strands of copper wire. Skin effect describes the tendency of ultrahigh frequencies to be conducted on the surface of the wire as opposed to through the wires total profile. The lower resistance of silver over copper ensures optimum transmission of these ultra high frequencies.
